Quick recap... we found a house in
Agua Dulce, they were asking $369,900. We offered them $355,000 and they accepted. We did all the inspections and everything went pretty good. We got the appraisal back yesterday and found out that the house appraised for $325,000, which is well below the price we purchased it for, $30,000 below.
So today our realtor called and said that the seller's realtor spoke with the sellers and they crushed some numbers and came back with $343,000. That is still $18,000 below appraisal but they did drop the asking price by $12,000. I was hoping they would at least have done half but $12,000 isn't bad and I didn't really want to
haggle over $3000 so we accepted their new offer. So the house was $369,900 and we are purchasing it for $343,000. That's a savings of $26,900.
Now I just have to get through all this paperwork.
