Daisy goes to the Dentist
Our last Vet visit the doctor said that Daisy really should get a good teeth cleaning but we should wait since they have a sale on teeth cleaning in February so we waited.. Well today was the day. This was going to be the first time we went to the Vet and had to leave her there.
Of course we get in the car and she is super excited, she loves car rides. Soon as we get to the Vet she realized something was up and started to wine. We go inside nad he is in total panic mood. We tell the Vet tech that she is nervous and can bite so they allowed us to take her back to the shelter. As we put her in she had no idea what was going on and I felt so guilty leaving her. She gave us that look of "you don't love me anymore" and my heart broke.
As many of you know we got her from the shelter two years ago and I'm sure being put into another shelter cage was very tramtic for her.
Well we left and I went to work waiting for the call to let me know that they were done and we could pick her up. I got a call around 11:30 let me know that everything went great and we could pick her up in two hours. Well Harry and I counted down the time and as soon as two hours hit we quickly went over to the Vet and picked her up. They said she was perfect.. which I find hard to believe, but there she was all happy and excited to see us pulling this poor petite vet tech down the hall.
She's been out of it all day long but she has pretty teeth now

Breakfast and Movie
Since Chris was heading out of town for a few months we wanted to hang out one last time. Both of us are lovers of Fantasy so we went to go see The Spiderwick Chronicles. First we planned for him to come over around 10, I knew since he partied hard last night that he wouldn't make it.. but he did show up around 11. First thing first.... he had heard me talk about my toy room and wanted to see it first hand.. well I took him in my office/toy room overflow first and it was funny to see the look of surprise when I told him that this wasn't the toy room.. just the overflow room. Then we went into the toy room and like many before him his jaw dropped in amazement while we looked around for a bit. We then went to breakfast, we tried to find a cool little breakfast dive but since I'm still fairly new to the area we couldn't find anything and wound up at Denny's.
After breakfast we of course missed the first few showings so we had an hour and a half to kill. We drove to Borders and looked around for a bit.
About a half-hour before the movie started we drove to the theater, bought our tickets, some soda/water and sat down in the middle of the theater. It wasn't packed which was nice. The movie just flew by. This was a children’s book series made up of five books and they combined them into this one movie. It was a very fast pace and never slowed down. The effects were really good and the story was complete. When it was over we were both happy with it. It was a fun movie. After the movie we drove back to my pace where he met Harry and Daisy, we said our good-byes and good lucks and he was off. It was a fun morning/afternoon.

Goodbye and Good Luck Chris
It was Chris' last day. He is the Post Production Assistant and has been with us the past four months. Chris and I hit it off right away when he first started and our friendship grew. It's not often that you find co-workers that you want to continue a friendship with outside of work, but he is one of them. He is the sweetest nicest guy you will ever meet. He's very hard working and deserves all the success he finds. He is leaving us because he got a really good opportunity to write, produce, shoot and edit some webisodes for a swimming website. He will be missed at work, but our friendship will continue pass this job and for many years to come.
Tonight after work a few of us went out for some drinks (not that I drink). It was alot of fun. We went to a bar/restaurant in West Hollywood. I don't drink so it was fun to see Chris, Bryan, Laura and Matt get buzzed. I only stayed a few hours, as I was super tired from a long day in Online. It was a fun night.

Big Brother is Back
Tonight started the ninth season of Big Brother. Yes I'm a fan of this reality show. I have seen every season of it. This years spin is the teamed up contestants into couples. They will play, vote, win and lose as a couple. Of course they are all very beautiful people.. will with one exception. The first episode was fun.. there are a few extra twist but this looks to be a fun season of Big Brother.

Monday Night TV
Tonight we watched the second to last episode of American Gladiators. I'm so glad it has been a success and NBC has picked it up for a second season. This total fluff tv but it's so much fun to sit back and enjoy. I hope to get tickets to watch it live from the second season.
Another great show on Monday is Kyle XY. It's in it's second season and the story is getting more and more invovled, but unlike Lost I'm not getting tired of all the questions. Plus Matt Dallas is yummy to look at with his no belly button washboard stomach.
And if that wasn't enough we also watch Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. It's on it's fourth episode and they keep getting better and better. This series has one of my favorites from Friday Summer Glua and she can kick some butt.
Monday's have some cool sci fi/fantasy TV

The Ready Room Podcast
For several years I have been a member and modirator of a sci fi and fantasy forum. It's fairly small but the people I have meet there are great. About a year ago we started a rpg (Roll Playing Game) that takes place in the Star Trek world. When we started I was first officer but quickly got bumped to Captain and started to run the game. Luckily I have a co-modirator now who helps me in running the game. Well we came up with a cool idea of keeping everyone informed of what's going on with the game.. we have decided to start doing a podcast called The Ready Room. I spent today finishing the editing on episode #3. They are so much fun to record as well as edit. If you want to check out the forums click on the link. Treks in Sci Fi

Dinner
Tonight Harry and I were invited out by some co-workers. We were having dinner down in Marian Del Rey. It was quite a drive for Harry and I but we don't go out often and thought it would be fun. When we get there we find out the reservation was cancelled so they put our names down again and a group of us went down the street to get some drinks (I did not drink). Well long story short two hour later we were sitting at our table having pasta and wine. It was a very fun night. It's always interesting to see fellow c0-workers let down there hair a bit.. some more then others!!!!!
Taxes
Today was tax day for me. I have them done my Mike my account who has done them the past seven years of so. This year was different as I only worked 9 out of the 12 months and collected $5000 in unemployment. I also claimed 2 instead of my normal 0 or 1 so I was just hoping to just break even. Since I do work as a freelance employee in the Entertainment Industry I can write off quite a bit of stuff (entertainment related). In the end I did alot better then I expect, the good news I will not own any money and will be getting a modest check from the Federal and State Government.

The Day After
After such an awesome three day weekend living in the Star Trek Universe it was hard to go back to work and my everyday life. I got so use to getting up and driving to Long Beach and immersing myself into the Star Trek world. Granted we did the Tour three days in a row and we could have done it in one day but it was exciting to know that we were going back the next day to see and experience more. Now we have tons of photo and video and going to try and build a cool website with our experiences.

Star Trek The Tour
From Friday to Sunday Harry and I were in heaven. Beginning a 40 city tour of the US. We spent the entire weekend in Long Beach at Star Trek The Tour. There were props, models, costumes, rides, replicas of the TOS (The Original Series) and TNG (The Next Generation) Bridge as well as the Captain's room, sickbay and the transporter room from TNG. There were video's and music playing all over the place. We purchased The Captain's VIP package because we knew that this was a once in a lifetime experience and we wanted to enjoy every moment. Friday was great because it was our first day, I walked in and could feel my giddiness start to bubble up. We were in geek heaven, both Harry and I love love love Star Trek. We went from prop to prop taking pictures and check out every inch of the place. We were there from 11am to 6pm and were tired but thrilled to have experienced it and very excited that we got to go back again the next day.
Saturday we hung out with friends, Shaun, Bruce and Chris again we got to share of love Star Trek with friends and it made the second day's experience even better. We stayed from 9:30 to 6:30pm and again were very tired.
On Sunday we took th audio tour and that was alot of fun. We knew most the information that was given but it was still fun to listen to. We walked around and enjoyed everything one last time knowing that this was our last day and after today we would not be coming back. We were there from 12pm to 5:30pm.
We had some much fun and look for a page on my website for pictures and more details of what we did.. we took over 1000 photos and 3 hours of video.
IT WAS SO MUCH FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
